The New LA Lorenz Brent Willis and Adrienne Lance Lucas celebrated their marriage in a beautiful ceremony at the Callanwolde Fine Arts Center in Atlanta, Georgia, on September 29, 2023, at Five o'clock in the evening. One hundred fifty close friends and family surrounded the couple as they exchanged their vows in the Hydrangea Garden of this historic venue. Adrienne Lance Lucas, 54, the daughter of the late Major Harold Lance Sr. and Freddie Mae Lance, looked stunning in her Monique Llihulier-inspired gown, which dressmaker Pansy Gordon expertly crafted. The dress featured three elegant looks. The silhouette was a silk slip gown with a lace skirt border, a high rear slit, and a faint blue raw silk sash for the perfect accent. The bride wore an intricate lace and pearl bodice overlay with a detachable train that fanned to the sides as the bride walked to the altermatching faint blue Bagley Mischka satin shoes and a finger-length triple-tier veil elegantly complemented and finished the ensemble. Lorenz Brent Willis, 55, is a native of Los Angeles, the son of Lorenzo Willis and the late Wilma Eleanor Johnson Willis. He attended Los Angeles City Schools and is a graduate of Morehouse College. He further pursued his education and earned his Master of Science in Sports Medicine from the United States Sports Academy. A retired dean and fundraising officer, Lorenz currently invests in multi-family real estate. Adrienne Lance Lucas, who attended Wayzata City Schools in Minnesota, is a Spelman College graduate with an MBA from the prestigious Harvard Business School. She is also a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, The Links, Incorporated, and a prominent business owner and investor. The ceremony, officiated by Bishop Craig L. Oliver Sr. from Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church, was a memorable occasion for the couple and their guests. The ceremony offered numerous special touches by honoring their black heritage by jumping the broom and African wedding traditions through dance and song selections by Spelman Morehouse Glee Club members. The beautiful Tudor-Gothic design of the Callanwolde mansion provided the perfect setting for the reception. The atmosphere was festive, with non-stop dancing and a grand exit featuring a lowrider car parade as a tribute to the life they will share in California and cold sparklers. The couple's union was a beautiful celebration of love and commitment, and their journey together with their adult children - Kenyatta Lucas II, Mizan, and Zaki Willis, is just beginning. Following the festivities in Atlanta, the newlyweds embarked on a mini-honeymoon in Savannah, Georgia. Their honeymoon bliss will continue in Fiji, where they plan to create more cherished memories in January 2024. The SpelHouse couple will primarily reside in Los Angeles, California.
