Call for Special Election for U.S. Senator Notice

CALL FOR SPECIAL ELECTION FOR U.S. SENATOR Notice is hereby given that a special election shall be held on November 3, 2020 for the office of U.S. Senator due to the resignation of Senator Johnny Isakson. A run-off, if needed, shall be held on January 5, 2021. Qualifying for the special election shall be held in the Elections Division of the Office of Secretary of State, 2 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive SE, West Tower Suite 802, Atlanta, Georgia 30334. The dates and hours of qualifying will be Monday, March 2, 2020 beginning at 9:00 AM and ending at 5:00 PM, Tuesday, March 3, 2020 beginning at 8:00 AM and ending at 5:00 PM, Wednesday, March 4, 2020 beginning at 8:00 AM and ending at 5:00 PM, Thursday, March 5, 2020 beginning at 8:00 AM and ending at 5:00 PM, and Friday, March 6, 2020 beginning at 8:00 AM and ending at 12:00 PM The qualifying fee shall be $5,220.00. Monday, October 5, 2020 is the last day to register to vote for all persons who are not registered to vote and who desire to vote in the special election.
