Notice of Data Breach Anne Arundel Dermatology ("Aad")
NOTICE OF DATA BREACH Anne Arundel Dermatology ("AAD") recently identified an intrusion on certain of its systems by an unauthorized third party. AAD took immediate action to review this incident, and its review determined that certain data files were accessible to the unauthorized third party for a period of time. AAD subsequently determined, on May 20, 2025, that some of these data files contained certain personal or health information. AAD's review indicates that the unauthorized access may have begun on February 14, 2025, and ended on May 13, 2025. From the review, AAD determined, on June 27, 2025, that the personal or health information affected may include name, address, date of birth, email address, medical record number, health history, financial information, insurance information, appointment history. After becoming aware of the incident, AAD undertook a review, working with third-party experts, to determine the nature and scope of the unauthorized access and confirm it was contained. After the review, AAD also implemented additional security measures. As an added precaution, AAD is offering impacted individuals free access to IDX identity theft protection services. AAD recommends remaining vigilant for incidents of fraud and identity theft, including by regularly viewing account statements and monitoring free credit reports.
