Notice of Realty Action Proposed Exchange of federally owned lands for privately- owned lands located in Fulton and Gwinnett County, Georgia. I. The following described federally owned land which was acquired by the National Park Service has been determined to be suitable for disposal by exchange. The authority for this exchange is Act of August 15, 1978 (P.L. 95-344, 92 Stat. 474). The selected Federal land is within the boundary of Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area and is not required for inclusion into that park unit area. The land has been surveyed for cultural resources and endangered and threatened species. These reports are available upon request. Fee ownership to the federally owned-property is to be exchanged: Tract Number CHAT 102-1C is a 1.33-acre parcel of land acquired by the United States of America by deed recorded in Deed Book 7345 on Pages 224-225 at the Fulton County Clerk's Office. Conveyance of the land by the United States of America will be done by a Quitclaim Deed. II. In exchange for the lands identified in Paragraph I the United States of America will acquire a 1.41-acre parcel of land currently owned by Leigh L. Goff laying within the boundary of Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area. Acquisition of these private lands are of mutual benefit to the public and private landowner and allow for the restoration and preservation of historical resources within the park. The lands are being acquired in fee simple with no reservations subject only to rights of way and easements of record. The value of the properties exchanged shall be determined by a current fair market value appraisal and if they are not appropriately equal, the values shall be equalized by payment of cash as circumstances require. Detailed information concerning this exchanged including precise legal descriptions, Land Protection Plan environmental assessment, cultural reports, and Finding of No Significant Impact are available at the Interior Region 2, Land Resources Program Office. For a period of 45 calendar days from the date of this notice, interested parties may submit comments to the above address. Adverse comments will be evaluated, and this action may be modified or vacated accordingly.
