Public Notice City of Atlanta's Consolidated Plan 2019

PUBLIC NOTICE CITY OF ATLANTA'S CONSOLIDATED PLAN 2019 ANNUAL ACTION PLAN OFFICE OF GRANTS MANAGEMENT Under the City of Atlanta's Consolidated Plan, which covers grant funding received by the City from the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), citizens are informed of substantive changes to be made to any of the following grant programs: Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), the Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG), the HOME Housing Investment Partnership program, and Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA). Substantive changes requiring citizen notification include: the addition of new projects; the deletion of approved projects; a change of project location; a change in the project's scope of work or primary purpose, goal, or objective; and/or a change in the project's intended beneficiaries. PROPOSED CHANGE: Projects for CDBG grant awards to meet the housing and supportive services needs of individuals from a previous project. AFFECTED NPU(S): Citywide EXPLANATION OF CHANGE: This notification addresses an amendment to the 2019 Annual Action Plan transferring to and from appropriations in the amount of $2,2089,227.00 for the purpose of reprogramming CDBG, for inclusion in the 2019 Annual Action Plan of the 2015-2019 Consolidated Plan. These funds will be reprogrammed to CDBG projects that will provide services to those effected by the closing, the following changes are proposed: Project Allocations BILF 2019 200,000.00 Carrie Pitts Steel 2018 25,353.00 Limited Repair 967,502.00 Rebuilding Together 2018 275,000.00 University Choice 2017 200,000.00 University Choice 2018 200,000.00 Women Econmic 2018 21,372.00 Westside Promise Zone 2018 200,000.00 2,089,227.00 Funding reprogramming recommendations are in the process of being submitted for approval to Atlanta's City Council. The City Council will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, March 10th, 2020 at 12:00 pm. At that time, citizens and other interested parties will be invited to provided comments on the proposed reprogramming for CDBG funding.
