The United States Environmental Protection Agency Announces

The United States Environmental Protection Agency Announces the Record of Decision for the Westside Lead Superfund Site in Atlanta, Fulton County, Georgia The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency issued a Record of Decision (ROD) on November 16, 2022, specifying the cleanup remedy for the Westside Lead Superfund Site (Site). The Georgia Environmental Protection Division has worked closely with the EPA in the evaluation and selection of the Site remedy and has expressed its support for the Selected Remedy. This Site is located at 431 Vine Street NW Atlanta, Fulton County, Georgia. The remedy includes soil excavation, off-site disposal of waste, and restoration. The total estimated cost of the remedy is $49,130,000. The remedy is both protective of human health and the environment as well as meets the statutory requirements of the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA).
