Ashley Scholars Landing PUBLIC NOTICE OF THE OPENING DATE AND CLOSING DATE OF THE SITE-BASED WAITING LIST October 7th, 8 AM October 9th, 6 PM Ashley Scholars Landing is accepting pre-applications for apartment units receiving rental assistance in one, two, and three bedroom apartments. Eligible residents will pay no more than 30% of their adjusted monthly income for rent and utilities, subject to minimum rent and other requirements. Ashley Scholars Landing is also accepting pre-applications for fully accessible units designed for residents with mobility-related disabilities or who may use a wheelchair or scooter. SW Atlanta, GA 30314 Open until 6 PM Work/Program Participation Requirement: At least one non-disabled adult member of the household between the ages of 18 and 61 years old must be legally and gainfully employed on a full-time basis at least 30 hours per week or legally and gainfully self-employed on a full-time basis at least 30 hours per week in a legitimate business enterprise as appropriately documented as required by management procedures. Each other household member 18 years old and above must be either: Legally & gainfully employed or self-employed (as described above) on a full-time basis at least 30 hours per week, A full-time student at a management-approved and recognized school or institution, Employed (but not self-employed) on a part-time basis and either (i) attending a management-approved and recognized school or institution or (ii) participating in a management-approved and recognized training program, for a combined minimum total of at least 30 hours per week of employment and education/training, Elderly (age 62 or older), Disabled (for program eligibility purposes) or Full-time Caretaker for an Elderly or Disabled household member. Note: The Work/Program Participation Requirement does not apply to any adult household member who is 62 years of age or older, or a person with a verified, qualifying disability. The Work/Program Participation Requirement does not apply to households in which all adult members of the household are either 62 years of age or older, a person with a verified disability or a full-time caretaker for an elderly or disabled household member. Annual Household Income: In order to be eligible, the applicant household's Annual Household Income cannot exceed the following amounts for households that include the indicated number of members: Number of household members: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 Maximum Annual Household Income: $33,480 $38,280 $43,080 $47,820 $51,660 $55,500 $59,340 $63,180 Priority Categories: Eligible Former University Homes heads of household who were a part of the Atlanta Housing (AH)-Sponsored University Homes relocation project will receive the First Right of Return priority ranking on the site based waiting lists for occupancy selection. All other eligible applicants will be ranked in the site-based waiting list according to the recorded date and time their fully completed pre-application forms were received and accepted by management. After the site-based waiting list open period has closed, any eligible Former University Homes heads of household who did not complete a pre-application during the site-based waiting list open period will retain First Right of Return and may apply at the leasing office as a Special Admissions up until the initial lease up period has ended for each Ashley Scholars Landing phase. Eligible Former University Homes Resident Definition: The original heads of households who were under a valid lease at the Former University Homes site and were a part of the AH-Sponsored relocation from University Homes starting in 2006 in addition to being lease-compliant at the time of their departure and remaining lease-compliant during their relocation period. All applicants must pass a credit and criminal background check prior to being considered for the site-based waiting list. Please note that an applicant desiring to lease an assisted apartment must comply with all applicable eligibility criteria, including but not limited to the criteria set forth in the pre-application. All information provided by the applicant will be verified from all applicable sources including, but not limited to employers, providers, and federal, state and local government agencies. Applicants who have misrepresented any information during the application process may be removed from the site-based waiting list or, if housed, subject to lease termination. In addition, applicants who have previously participated in any assisted housing program and were terminated for cause may not be eligible. Applicants who are determined ineligible will be offered the opportunity to participate in an informal meeting with management to dispute the ineligibility decision. Requests for Reasonable Accommodations during the pre-application process will be taken by telephone daily October 7th - October 9th, 2019, Monday thru Wednesday between the hours of 2 PM and 5 PM at the number above or TTY/Relay 711.
