Notice of Public Comment Period on Finding of Suitability to Transfer for Southeast Burial Sites (FTG-07, FTG-08, FTG-09, and FTG-10) at Fort Gillem Interested parties are hereby notified the United States Army Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) has completed a Finding of Suitability to Transfer (FOST) of approximately 97.71 acres known as the Southeast Burial Sites (FTG-07, FTG-08, FTG-09, and FTG-10) at Fort Gillem in Forest Park, Georgia. The FOST documents the environmental suitability of the site for transfer and sale (excessing and disposal), consistent with the provisions of the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA) Section 120(h) and Department of Defense policy. The FOST includes the Access Provisions, and other Deed Provisions, and the Environmental Protection Provisions (EPPs) necessary to protect human health or the environment after such transfer. The comment period will begin September 25, 2023, and end on October 8, 2023.
