PUBLIC NOTICE Notice is given that application has been made to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, Southern District Office, 500 N. Akard St., Suite 1600, Dallas, TX 75201, for consent to purchase certain assets and assume certain liabilities of Ameris Bank, Atlanta, Georgia, by BankSouth, Greensboro, Georgia. BankSouth intends to purchase certain assets and assume certain liabilities associated with the Ameris Bank branch located at 1010 Park Place Blvd, Greensboro, GA 30642. It is contemplated that all banking offices of the above named banks will continue to operate, except for: Ameris Bank's existing Greensboro broach located at 1010 Park Place Blvd, Greensboro, GA 30642, will be closed and consolidated into BankSouth's branch located at 6340 Lake Oconee Parkway, Greensboro, GA 30642. This notice is published pursuant to 12 USC 1828(c) and 12 CFR 5.
