PUBLIC NOTICE NOTICE OF THE FULTON COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS PUBLIC HEARING ON A PROPOSAL TO CONSTRUCT A WASTEWATER LINE AND ASSESS THE COST THEREOF AGAINST THE ABUTTING PROPERTY OWNERS Notice is hereby given of a Public Hearing to be held at the Board of Commissioners (BOC) Meeting scheduled on Dec 1, 2021, 10:00 A.M. by the Fulton County Board of Commissioners in the Assembly Hall, Fulton County Government Center, 141 Pryor Street, S.W., Atlanta, GA 30303, on a proposal to construct a wastewater line and assess the cost thereof against the abutting property owners on the following roadway(s): Cold Creek Drive, City of Alpharetta The route of the lines are: Beginning from the existing wastewater manhole located in the end and east of Cold Creek Drive in the City of Alpharetta, Fulton County, Georgia, thence proceeding 900 feet west and southwest along Cold Creek Drive. The cost will be assessed against the abutting property owners at the rate of $20.00 per front foot on the roadway. Assessments shall be due within 150 days following the completion of construction. Such assessments may be paid in one (1) lump sum or on an installation basis as follows: Pursuant to Article 3-1-"H" of the Fulton County Sewer Regulations, the assessment fee may be paid by each property owner is one (1) lump sum or an installment basis with 1/4 of the total assessment as down payment with three (3) annual installments. Such assessments shall be charged interest until the assessment is fully paid. Property Owners desiring to connect to the Public Wastewater System after construction must also pay a sewer connection permit fee of $3,183.00 (Big Creek Sewer Basin) and a monthly wastewater utilization charge collected from each resident that connects to the system. Property Owners would also be responsible for the connection of the residence to the wastewater line. The Public Hearing will be a part of the BOC Meeting Agenda. Any Property Owner affected, or other party at interest, may appear and make comment, before the Board of Commissioners at the time specified above.
