Highlands @ East Atlanta 2051 Flat Shoals Rd. Atlanta, GA 30316 Highlands @ East Atlanta will be opening their wait list on August 24, 2020 for our 2 & 3 bedroom apartment homes. We will be accepting applications daily from 10 AM thru 3 PM, on Monday, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Friday. Waitlist will close at 3pm on September 4, 2020. Applications will be accepted 10 AM - 3 PM daily. In order to be eligible, a household must meet the following criteria: A) The family's income must not exceed program income limits B) Applicants must disclose social security numbers for all household members. If documentation of the SSN is not currently available to the applicant, such documentation must be supplied to the owner within 60 days from the date on which the applicant certified that the documentation was not available. C) All adults in each applicant household must sign all consent forms required but not limited to the 9887, 9887A and any owner consent forms and verifications prior to receiving assistance and annually thereafter. D) The unit for which the household is applying must be the family's only residence. E) Must have citizenship, naturalization, and/or eligible immigration status. F) Applicants must meet the established occupancy standards. As a general policy, there should be a minimum of one person per bedroom and no more than two persons per bedroom. G) Must not have been released from a penal system for a felony in the last 10 years and must not have a criminal background for Drug related activity, illegal drug use, alcohol abuse, and/or sex offender. H) Credit and criminal checks will be processed through approved credit bureaus. Exceptions include, medical collections, applicant shows period of credit problems which have been corrected, applicant has proof of repayment of debt. I) Applicant must provide proof of ability to pay rent, previously demonstrated adherence to lease, positive landlord reference, no history of criminal activity of any household member. J) Any information provided by the applicant that verification proves to be untrue may be used to disqualify the applicant for admission on the basis of attempted fraud. The property considers false information about the following to be grounds for rejecting an application: 1) Income, assets, household composition 2) Social Security numbers 3) Allowances 4) Previous residence history or criminal history 5) Citizenship, naturalization, and/or eligible non-citizen status.
